Taste for Pace 2020, like most spring events, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the development committee at Pace considered how to move forward with Taste for Pace 2021, we knew that we wanted to continue a food-based fundraising event, but create a unique way for our friends both far and near to participate in a safe and fun way.
And so we introduce, Taste for Pace 2021. A virtual event, recipe competition and cookbook.
Everyone has a favorite recipe. It may be that one you pull out for a special occasion. Or your child’s favorite cookie recipe that just smells like “home”. We are asking that you share them with us so we can share them with the world.
For $10, of which 100% will go towards supporting Pace students, you can enter your recipe for a chance to win in one of our categories as well as the grand prize, $1000 worth of prizes/gift certificates! All recipes will also then appear in our Taste for Pace 2021 cookbook, to be published in May 2021.
The fun doesn’t stop there! The development committee will choose the three finalists whose recipes will be prepared for our live virtual event by local Pittsburgh celebrities including Sally Wiggin! The live virtual event on April 16th will be broadcasted live from Pace School, highlighting the school, students, families, the celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, and the announcement of the category and grand prize winners!
We hope that Taste for Pace 2021 gives you many ways to engage with and support Pace School! Enter a recipe! Join our virtual event! Purchase the cookbook! Recipes may be submitted on-line January 8- February 5th. You can choose a category of appetizer, entrée, sides and salads, special diets, kid-friendly, and dessert. Not the competitive type? You can choose to include your recipe in the cookbook but not the competition
